Secondary eye protection

So after my 3rd eye injury in 3 months, I think it's time to find some better glasses.

 

The first 2 injuries were actual "whips" to the eye, had my glasses and visor down on both occasions, but still got a strike straight to the middle of my eyeball on the first occasion, and the second was more of a whip.

The 3rd on Friday afternoon whilst in a Sycamore, I'm unaware of being hit in the face, so went to shropdoc last nite to be told it was probably a allergic reaction to getting pollen in my eye.

So my question is, does anyone use the glasses that are more like safety goggles with foam around the frames to stop everything getting into the eye, because is don't really want to loose my sight :-(

Try the mesh type ones. Good seal around the eye to stop sawdust and doesn't steam up or really affect vision. You do look like a fly though!

Tet lacrilube from chemists and use it straight away. Mesh goggles are best for me as they don't fog up. Proper wrap around ones better than glasses too

HI TREE just get the US ARMY sawfly ballistic sun glasses there very good and there cheap to thanks jon

I use these peltor ones mainly because you can take the arms off and use the elastic band instead so that your ear defenders still work, there vented so don't steam up to much either.

I bought a pair of mesh goggles at the Arb Show last year, really like them, they may take a bit of getting used to, but worth it. Can't remember which stand I got them from but didn't see any this year.

I use engineers glasses the logic being if it stops sparks from an angle grinder then a bit of sawdust should be dead easy.

I use these, i use the anti fog ones most the time, double up as sun glasses a bit, i dont use a mesh visor and ive only been through 2 pairs in a year, very tough, comfortable, and the other colours are great for dull days to brighten things up a bit. Good price too
