Yes David, sorry should have made that clearer.

 

One person commented they didn't think it was a poplar... Why would someone sign up to be able to post a comment and then show their ignorance by writing that. They are obviously in the know, unlike most other people. ;)

Glad no one was hurt. Quite a big tree there and very lucky there were no serious casualties.

 

Must admit though, there are a few muppets in the comments.

 

Aye and is it me(wife actually noticed) or has no one noticed the blue mercedes isnt a merc! But Im not interested in cars very much at all.

 

Its strange how people all over the world and appear with their thoughts on these newspaper website. No wonder humankind all don't get on. Everybody thinks they know the answer to everything.:001_rolleyes:

I was thinking as it had only recently been pruned I'm surprised it hadn't failed before while it had a much larger 'sail' area to catch the wind but looking at the pictures it didn't have masses of regrowth on it really.
