Saw choice

Hello fellow arb talkers

I need a new saw to fill the gap between the stihl 260 and 660

Until recently I was working with someone who had the 461 which I thought was a good saw. I've always used stihl but would like to try husqvarna so I could build up my own opinion on saw brands but would still like to know your opinions

So was looking at stihl 441 or 461

Or maybe husqvarna 576xp? Or something similar

What would you choose to fill the gap?

Thanks.

I prefer a 372 over a 576 . Lighter same power .

Thanks guys

Cheers stubby

What bar do you prefer running on the 372? I was thinking 20"

I'd agree with Stubby, my use of a 576 was brief but enough to know it didn't handle like the 372 does.

I haven't run mine on anything over 20" yet but mainly because I'd be reaching for a bigger saw by then anyway (which if you have a 66 I'd guess youd do too). On the whole though mine lives on a 15" with a bigger sprocket. That set up is awesome in heavily branched softwoods.
