Connifers worth seasoning and keeping?

Morning All!

Normally I would say just chop it down and get rid of conifer (or at least that is what Ive been told.)

But... In this instance, I renovating a property and got over 30 sizable conifers, I'm in process of stripping branches and have a nice bonfire. However are the stumps worth cutting down, splitting and seasoning or just get rid?

Are the seasoning times the same as I always thought there was alot of sap in a conifer.

Thanks in advance.

Go for it. 30 firewood trees is what you have. The wood dries fast once split and burns a treat. So what if it burns faster than hardwood? It's free. 95% of what I put on the burner at home is conifer; it makes for a warm life and presents no problems at all.

Got about 1 & 1/2 log stores of conifer seasoning, only drawback is the resin but it burns well and will kick out a fair bit of heat and for free - doesn't get much better.

You can mix it with a bit of hard wood if you want it to last a little longer.

Wish more people would wise up and start burning more soft wood. It's cheap, there's lots of it about and it heats really well. Many people think that you're trying to rip them off if you deliver a mixed load to them.

There are a few enlightened souls about though.
