Chipper exit chute extension

I use a corn duckting pipe it clamps together you can add lengths or different angle bends and cheap to buy

Evening all,

 

I have a timberwolf 150 & would like to add an extension onto the exit chute to prevent spillage etc. Maybe a section of drainage pipe could be added before chipping and removed when finished. I appreciate this may look a bit gypo so any other ideas are welcome.

 

Do you have a backpack blower??

 

IME the hassle of trying to extend the chute and blockages, is not worth it, you need to blow around the loading end of the chipper anyway, so its only a 2 minuet job to pull the truck and chipper forward and quickly blow the area clean

Its not just about the clean up, if a member of the public wanders past and catches a bit in the eye you are going to have all sorts of ambulance chaser problems

IME, with TW's its stuff that "falls" short of the truck, not over spray.

Granted but the point still stands, if its not going in the back of the truck it could be someplace it shouldn't be. An extension solves both problems and its not just the TW's that suffer, the quadchip is in desperate need of an extension.

The OP was asking about a TW 150, so my answer was in regard to that.

We don't have the problem of falling short with our 150. I wish we could make it so it did fall short as tidying behind the van is much better and easier than tidying right up the road. I've not got round to my tarp on the roof yet though

Something like this, waste water pipe 6" and splayed end fits a quadchip spout spot on and when pushed all the way over you get full air flow down the pipe so no getting blocked. Only problems is its heavy so needs holding up at the truck end but saves so much time in tidy up its worth the hassle.

just put a roof on the chip box,12mm ply 2, lenths of 3x3 .& dozern screws.job done
