Miss my Zigzag a lot, especially on sticky Sitka dismantles. I even considered making the 500 mile round trip to pinch Silky's prototype when he wasn't looking :-)

What rope were you using with it, Silky? The first one tended ok on the 13mm blaze, but others kept saying that the slightly thinner rope was the nuts for self-tending.

So money set aside for Zigzag2 AND a new rope perhaps.

11.7 blue tongue. Perfection. Recieved an E mail from Petzel today asking me to return the ZZ2 prototype for inspection...sent my review to them last week...will miss it...I have become one with it...I shall return to my Spiderjack until the ZZ2 is released.

I was just going to ask if you had tried it on 13mm but looks like you've already answered that one.:001_smile:

The difference between using it on 13mm to 11.5 was like night and day!

I hope they make it a bit more versatile this time around, or at the least have a couple of different sizes available.

I've pre ordered my 2014 ZZ today, the changes look good, hope it's for keeps this time.

I admit it does look good but I'm afraid i'm going to have to leave it for a while and stick with my hitch climber. Got it set up perfectly now but will keep the new ZZ in mind :P

So silky fox, what are the actually changes? i can only see a beefer attachment hole? and once you give feedback do they take not of what people say or i.e response to you advice etc.

From what I,ve seen they have beefed up the overall construction, so let's hope for higher than 15kn mbs, they have increased the angle which the friction chain can pivot, and improved the fair lead of the tail.
