For the money I doubt u,all get much better then an oxdale, they're not perfect I think they could have made the splitting table bigger and I'm not totally convinced by the small splitting wedge but they seem a well built thing and made in England too. I run one of a mini digger, but any machine with good enough auxillary hydraulics will run it OK.

Wessex do one for £500 and its not bad at all. From what i see at sales and auctions small log splitters make nearly new money anyway so your best buying a new one.

I'm going for a decent sized horizontal splitter next that runs off pto. Buts up some of them big buggers i've been getting :)
