CCTV is OK, but I would prioritise a decent alarm system that will alert you via your mobile. If you've a few hundred to spend upon security, do you want

a. Some grainy video of your chipper being wheeled out through your bust door.

or

b. A call and text to you and possibly a local security company to alert you to a potential intruder, allowing you to nip the problem in the bud (and the dog to nip them in the testicles)?

I keep preaching this and nobody seems to take any notice. :001_rolleyes:

Or both. A reasonable CCTV package is available from napkins. Options to suite most budgets. I'm lucky as my storage is outside my house and alarmed but also connected to the estate I rent my house from and the alarm is monitored 24/7 by ex gurkers. I've still gone for pir alarms and about a grands worth of CCTV which includes installation and I can control and view it on my phone, it also alerts me if there is motion detected. It'll be the best money you ever spend. It helped me sleep at night!

have your gear marked with smartwater its has your own unique bar code for your postcode so if stuff is picked up and torch is shone on it it lights up like a christmas tree. also do a spray you can put above doors if they break in get sprayed if nicked shine up like a christmas tree not expensive to put in and some insurance companies give discount for fitting it

10 years ago I had a pick up stolen from my drive when I was asleep. I'm glad I didn't hear them. Just imagine being woken up, running out there in your boxer shorts rubbing your eyes.

The thieving scumbags are going to be buzzing and they ain't gonna be standing there with feather dusters !

Protect your gear guys but be careful what you do if the worst happens.
