If this is an educated view from someone who has been and experienced the festival, then of course it is a valid opinion(not one I concur with).however,if you and anyone else who hasn't been, are commenting without ever having been as a punter or to work, then I have to tell you that you are sadly mistaken. Glastonbury festival is a gathering of human beings from all over the world and from all parts of society.as with any large gathering of humans there are fools amongst those thousands, but there are also very good people.having been involved in the events industry for the last thirteen years, and glastonbury for nearly as many,I can tell you that gathering that many of the worlds best musicians, performers, artists and creators for the entertainment of many is a brilliant thing to be involved with.I've worked hard all my life.I love meeting people, and seeing people have a good time.I am certainly no yuppie or puppet, and neither are some of my friends and colleagues who are amongst the hardest working and most. Dedicated people I know.if you don't like it,save your time and money for other things, but please don't knock it and the hundreds and thou sands who do,and those who work extremely hard sometimes for nothing to create an amazing event.

Hey hold on, back the truck up a bit, I don't hate Glastonbury or the people who go or anything like that, lot's of my friends go/have gone. I just cannot bear chemical toilets!

(or other people, or noise, or burger vans................)

I've been there and worked there on a food van, so I do know what it's like! I prefer other festivals, it has become too mainstream

The only year I've been was the 40th anniversary and was 30 degree heat very single day! Some of the comments on this thread are laughable it's a great festival and I wish I had the monney to go again... Maybe next year

Not cheap - but the conditions/weather are not the organisers' fault.

Nobody is forced to attend - if people like it then go have fun.

I wouldn't go on the basis of cost/creature comforts but good luck to those who go!

Last time I saw the Rolling Stones I could afford it as a student.

I suspect their attendance will have upped the ticket prices, they are good but they aint cheap any more.
