I have no thoughts on Thatch as I can't really remember her policies but only saw what was on the news but just read something in the paper that struck a cord.

 

A 58 year old man who was made redundant in 1984 was celebrating the death of the witch and intended to have a drink for every year he had spent unemployed (almost 30). To me this tells me everything that is wrong with Britain, that a man is able to stay on the benefit for almost 30 years without a job.

Very true! The fact he's toasting the death of the woman without who we wouldn't have the wealth to pay benefit at all.

 

Its hard to believe that in 30 years theres been no opportunity for employment. Some people will always blame others.

Here stateside folks like that are know as being gainfully unemployed. Working all the social safety nets in place to the hilt and still taking more. Legalized theft comes to mind.

I think this whole thread just goes to prove that Thatchers policy of divide and conquer worked just as it was designed to do ie.

Pro Thatcher = people unaffected By her cruel policy's

 

anti Thatcher = people directly affected by her cruel policy's
