It's a long story but a mate of mine was storing this 4x4 on someone else's land and he was told to get it shifted TODAY. He's working miles away at the moment so he rang me and said if I shift it I can have it. The reason he has to shift it is the alarm keeps going off which is upsetting the neighbours. It's been into more than one garage to get the alarm sorted but it keeps going off. Apart from getting an auto electrician to sort out the alarm has any one got any idea what could be causing it to keep going off. It will go weeks and be ok then it goes off again.

Sounds like it just needs the sensitivity turning down.

Also lots of alarms have those little sensors in the A pillar. When a vehicle has been stood they get dusty causing alarm to go off. Especially when coupled to a weak battery and over sensitivity.

Theres often a mercury switch under the central console. If its set wrong or has shifted that can cause it too.

I have had vehicles that can be a pain so when it needs to be quiet I did not bother with the fob and just lock the doors with the key. That way no alarm is set, should tell you in the manual. Make sure you dont have a spider walking around at night

all the ideas above are worth a try. Orvis was a special edition something to do with the fishing equipment sold in Andover by Orvis.

apparently.... check to see if there is water in any of the light housings, even the interior ones, this can cause electrical probs and set off alarm.
