Pin oak in a small backyard

Here is a removal from last year of a fat pin oak, in a tiny back yard. At first Cosby uses the bucket to clear the tips of the lower branches from over the garage and roof, to make rigging easier. Had good weather until the last day when cutting and picking the wood out, so clean up was harder!

I used a snipe on the trunk fell to minimize bounce, worked a treat. We had the brush off and chipped on the first day, along with some wood, second was getting wood down and loaded, then clean up in the rain.

 

I didnt film any of the job, for reasons I cant remember

Been up before, it's still as good.

Talk about a big lump in a tight spot.

 

Reg, that pic confused the hell out of me when I first saw it, thought he was sliding a lump off while still top tied. That would have tested the integrity of his climbing set up....

I instantly thought the same Reg, and no matter how many times I look at it I still cant see how he is tied into anything other than the cut lump?

Nice set of pics Ben. But I really think you to ought to get your groundy some proper PPE. At least get her a pair of boots, she might break a nail and sue your limey ass in them flipflops.
