ive got the new general graber ATs on my navara, never got stuck once till this morning, went to help mother who had broken down half on round about so i drove on the snow/grass to pull the car onto the grass and got seriously stuck... but so did the shogun on new bfgs who came to tow the nav out! but the general grabbers are really good, much better than the goodyears that were on it before. good on fuel, very good on the road, much safer towing and not too bad off road, when these wear out in about 10 years time i will be buying a another set!

When your bfg get on a bit check them inside if you get a puncture as they start breaking up inside.

I had the AT2's on my old Terrano. It used to go everywhere with those on. Even pulled the transit (with chipper attached) across a very boggy field once.

Now have a hilux with Toyo Open Country AT on (only the rear) seemed pretty good in the snow, grip very well on the tarmac when a little heavy footed but I'm not sure they last anywhere near as long as the BFG's.

Bump.

Any updates on your All Terrain tyres please, guys? It would be appreciated.

I'm about to swap out Runway HT's on my Ranger. They've done OK for two years with about 40% off-road but could do with a bit more grip in the muck.

Cheers

Jim

Need some new rubbers on my truck' date=' anybody got any experiences with General Grabber AT tyres???[/quote']

Used them on my Disco 2 for the last 5 years. Mine is a working landrover, pulling trailers etc.

In short an excellent tyre, not noisey at motorway speeds and wear very slowly, got 125,000 miles out of ones that did not find nails etc.

Other one to consider are BFGs, got a set on a Landrover County, as good if not better than ATs off road, slightly noiser on but this may be the vehicle that they are attached to.

Thinking of putting gg at on our new disco van 60 plate with 19" low profile wheels £180 ea and no tyre lasts much more than 20,000 miles especially towing. Last tyres were made july 2012. The d2 we have does 80-100 k on bfg at

Crickey mine do. I dont tow a lot of weight, usually 2 cube of logs or some stoves so about a tonne or thereabouts on twin axle trailers.

LANDROVER forum suggests BFGs last maybe 10% longer than ATs, however BFGs are not available in all sizes, when I bought my last ATs they were not avail.
