personally the only reason i have never bought a tracked chipper is because i can always find a maniac to work for buttons who owns one, if it was mine i would want 200 per day plus 50 quid delivery and uplift, and i would charge 2 boys out at 20 quid an hour each. oh and they would need ot for there traveling time so that would cost more too.plus my diesel charged acordingly, but it sound like the job is going to be sore on the machine and enthusiasm to chip like a madman for weeks will soon run out. sub someone in and stick on 20 percent for doing nowt.

TCD, would you not prefer him to tell you everything he wants doing, so that you can work out a price for the whole job?

He gets it all done at a set price, without the need to chase you. You have an opportunity to make more profit.

You`re taking on risk and responsibility but that`s what generally attracts reward.

This is a long term customer and without sounding jumped up I have the monopoly so don't have to price-to-get. Obviously don't want to take the micky either.

Now your talking but that's more than £140 P/D:001_smile:

I would say for long term at least £400.00 P/D to cover costs or find out the going rate to hire in a machine + time.

well get what you can dont sell your self short as any one can work for nothing, and all that chipping will take a toll on the machine

£140 a day i think is not enough
