Landy 130 tipper chassis.

I have had my tipper for 6 years, it is 10 years old and the chassis for the tipper ram and body had rotted away, so finally I have had to get a new chassis made for it. My local fabricator did it. We moved the chip box nearer the cab and it has improved handling.ImageUploadedByArbtalk1362598680.304431.jpg.1a1c5cf88c94451f52f609b6748b792b.jpg

nice job!, looking for a 130 landy at the moment

They are a great work horse, I tow a 150 VTR chipper and have the box full of chip and she pulls like a train. I love it and she can get in most places. I have extra heavy duty spring and Bilstien gas struts on it.

Whats the payload like on a twin cab 130 compared to a 130 single cab? I'm currently searching for a 130 tipper myself

I would think I loose a bit of payload because of the crew cab but I would rather have the legroom and room for wet gear and a couple of lads:)

I'm amazed that the tipper chassis rotted away and the Landy chassis didn't - the vehicle's chassis looks very clean in the pics. Looks a nice fabrication job - I'd personally give it a mega waxoiling now whilst it is still nice and clean!

It was well rotten mate but the landy chassis is mint. I jet washed it and then I'm gonna do some wax oiling.

In a word, piss poor, well that's two words but nonetheless.

What happens is the crew cab pushes the payload centre of gravity much further back than on a standard cab.

It's so bad that while the whole vehicle won't be overloaded the back axle limit will be exceeded and the fines are the same for an axle overload as for the entire vehicle.
