ive thought about landies but they just cant carry enough chip and still have room for tools, and the turning circle is pants!

hilux too small again, one big reduction and it will be full before the jobs done, same as a landy, I will stay small for a coupke of years but I cant climb forever, will need a gang or two out when im fifty plus, and i like having crew to look after. I used to treat my lads on birthdays, no warning, off to the pub or somewhere cool for a chillin day:thumbup1:

When i can take on a fulltime groundyim going to make sure he comes with me on all courses and seminars, when i find the right one who wants to be a real eco arb:thumbup1:

OK we have to change the clients mind set, the vast majority now keep all cord wood, so offer a splitting service, and its becoming very easy to leave wood chip on site, just promote its benefits as a weed suppressant or soil conditioner , the majority of my clients are now really into keeping everything on site , real Eco Warriors :thumbup1: and big into gardening. So a small well tested and trusted truck would do, and these ones really hold there value or if you did need to sell quickly you would have no trouble moving them on. Great crew is every thing with out a top boy, boys or girls on site you have nothing, The thinking at 50 tools down and watch  In todays economic climate its just not sustainable as a retirement plan.

I could sell you my Luton tail lift and get a micro chipper and a log splitter, there's enough room for a bed up top and pretty much live in it.

Take nothing away, do a wee job in the morning and then go fungi hunting in the afternoon , easy life.

sold!

its a deal its a steal its sale of the .....century!:thumbup1:

anything that involves fungi is perfect!

Good luck Tony. All the best for your venture.

As for trucks, I just drive whatever I am asked. Have driven a fair few including Dyna, canter, Isuzu, transit, Iveco and a number of 7.5t's.

I would go Isuzu or Iveco.

thanks rich, Im thinking of getting a chipper first and a tow hitch on me estate for now, maybe let the cat 5 isuzus come down in price a little first and have the flexibility of owning a chipper and subbing in a man with a tipper for when needed. Should make me a more viable asset as a freelance climber too if ive got a nice lightwieght TW125:thumbup:
