2 stroke?

i know there was a poll the other day about what make two stroke do you use.

 

but i am asking does any body use fully synthetic or maybe semi??

 

i know it is obviously a better lube and more refined but is there any advantage in a chainsaw. i know mineral is cheap and cheap is gooood.

 

i am curently using the oregon oil

Yep ran out / forgot it once . Went into a filling station and bought some fully synthetic 2 stroke oil for bikes . Expensive . Actually liked the smell ! I think Husqvarna do market a fully synth one , may be wrong there .

I used castor oil for about twelve months, you know the stuff you used to smell at model car racing or at speedway. It performed well and smelled great but found on the huskys it started to carbon up on the piston below the piston ring and cause bad starting.

i run fully sypathetic love the smell and was told it handles the high temps better so got me thinking less chance of a seize if the carbs settings are weak etc

i run either castrol fully synth or putoline fully synth mx. if you research the technicak data for these oils you'll see hoe inferior stihl standard oil really is but admitidally the standard stuff does the job. oh and the fully synth smell is to die for.
