Sweet, I am looking for a Transit right about now.

My old shape transit crewcab tipper with ply sides and all my gear and driver in weighs 2600kg. I do carry a lot of gear though, so I dare say you could shave that down a bit.

 

so you should be able to hold 900kg of load??? If I'm right?

Which would be a fair bit of chip??

What's the front axle weight like? Easy to overload with such a long wheelbase I bet.

After everyone is soooo keen on weights etc, Ive just spoke to my mate at the local quarry and Its getting weighed at various stages of load on tuesday. I will post the findings (if they are legal) hahaha

you might be shocked. I know Dean Lofthouse weighed his landie with a modest amount of chip and all his usual gear on and was close to the 3.5tonne limit. There is a thread on here somewhere with the details. I have weighed mine off and can only be just over half full to be near the 3.5 tonne limit

The load I weighed was what I considered to be less than half a load and I left my groundy to go and weigh

Full of chip like in the picture that'd be well over weight... I dread to think of the fine you'd get..specially if it was raining haha. nice job though, looks good, wish i had access to facilitie slike that!
