I doubt there's much of an issue selling unseasoned, the problem in my opinion is sellers making out its dry and seasoned when its clearly not!

Yes your right but I doubt there is many people stocking up and getting ready for next winter. I bet there is a few that have run out of their bargain logs they bought in November.

18 stoner what did you give for your polly tunnel what size is it how long does the plastic last out? thanks

Plastic does last longer if you dont poke the fork lift mast through it.

I budget to replace every 5 years anything longer on my exposed site is a bonus.

I have had 5 new customers this week, all from the other local firewood guy who has run out apparently. Happy days! Now up to me to supply first class seasoned wood and not to let them go back to him next year ;)

All I have now is unseasoned. Didn't manage to get a great stock in last year to get a good pile of seasoned stuff. However next year will be good with lots of ash beech and oak in the pile!

Yea i have been selling part seasoned at around 25-30% since december, just explain to the customer what it is and tell them clearly its not fully seasoned and pretty much no one has turned it down. Only knocked £10 off my normal price and its flying out, had alot of repeat customers asking for it too.

Why would you knock anything off? Your overheads are no different. :confused1:
