Distel Gecko Carbon Spikes

I am going to purchase a pair of Gecko spikes, does the size they offer relate to my height, leg length from knee to heal, weight e.t.c and which are better velcro or old style straps ?

But theres small 430mm, medium 460mm and large 490mm ????

Measurment is the total length from the arch of your foot to the base of your knee.

 

I have the aluminium ones with velcro. They are spot on.

I'm 6'5" and wear the large carbons. They are soooo comfy!

 

Be warned though... Don't walk on concrete / hard surfaces with them as it will damage the carbon fibre.

 

Apart from that, they're perfect!

Ok look like medium for me i am 5'6.5. Can always send them back but always nice if they fit first time .

Got some the other day mate, Sooo light and soo nice spent a good 20mins looking at them before i put them on. Feel soo nice, Used to climb on the old steel ones

I'm about to buy a pair of the carbons really excited to give them a go

Try before you buy if you can. The wrong size will make for uncomfortable climbing.

 

I've already broken my carbons and Distel don't do repairs, however, the local boat builder did a fantsatic patch up job so they're even stronger than before.

opt for the leather boot strap, i got the velcro ones and can't get them tight enough and find they come loose sometimes......... and they clog with sawdust.
