Give the guy a break at least he did have the presence of mind to come on here and ask for advice before he paid for it ,so this forum has helped him, no harm done ,lesson learnt, why take the piss? just because he has not got experience.

Could have been worse he could have brought a Dolmar or Makita, now they are crap:001_rolleyes:

Agreed, that is why I was taking the piss out of the piss takers:lol:

We all know what a 395XP will look like on this site- to the uninitiated, they don't know there are fake machines out there and take them at face value. The OP recognized that the price was far too good to be right - and right he was. Shows a bit of common sense in this respect!

Hopefully he will be good enough to let us know the outcome of his purchase.

That's the thing though spud, it's a 95cc saw, and he is uninitiated, I remember trying to start the 385, I didn't know about chain breaks or half revs, I drop started it, and the compression pivoted the saw, the chain hit my leg and cut in. Luckily it didn't start! How many here have drop started a saw on site? If the general public/ untrained saw users are using the biggest saws, no PPE, and the size of bars these saws use, research should have been done prior! Would you get on a 1300cc motorbike with no experience, or drive a Bugatti veyron the day you pass your driving test?
