title says it all

detail working on a london plain i was on the ground the log bounced off a spar and hit me square on the head. the helmet took all the impact. i have no injuries but makes you think.

 

note to all: WEAR HELMETS they really do save lives

was it side or top impact as climbing halments take side impacts were ground helments dont

 

but at least you were wearing it, and you ok

mum had a head injury and will neaver be her self but is far better

Wow! What kind of helmet was it? Manufacturer may be interested in it for analysis.

What I thought, especially as it appears to have broken at the vents (weak point)

 

No doubt the manufacturers would like to see the images and get some info.:thumbup1:

its a petzl alveo vent * the one with the husky logo on the back. it was a direct top impact on the back right corner the first photo should show that better. and the ploystyrene inside did the job v well *2nd photo you should be able to see a crack. and to wood ed it was filled out with in a hour. it is a climbing helmet
