Hulloo,

Does anybody know where i can get me an afermarket piston and barrel for my 2007 ms880. over £300 for stihl parts, i have found a place: GHHS spares that do aftermarket bits but not for the 880. any bright ideas peoples ??

any help appreciated

Ok then serious time.

 

Why do you need new pot and piston. Is the old one damaged beyond repair??

 

Can you get some pics up of the old one.

 

Need some more info into why, some pots and pistons can be saved some can't. Sometimes the pot can be saved and just a piston needed.

HI MATE has it done a lot of hrs then to go like that then or oil thanks jon :thumbup:

Having had a bad experience with a couple of Chinese pot and pistons on my MS650 I would say that £300 for genuine is cheaper in the long run. If the original pot can be salvaged then an OEM piston is a no brianer considering the value of the saw.
