Best firewood ever.

Have always rated holly but today I cut some standing dead stems. Bone dry. Burnt them tonight...about eight logs and I can't get near the stove. There is no comparison between these and the two year seasoned I'm normally burning:001_smile:

Standing seasoning is amazing compared to in a pile, it doesn't take long forint to go that powdery rotting wayif left just too long!

Best stuff I have burnt is spalted Beech

Been burning dead elm for years . There in a seemingly endless supply in the hedgerows in Sussex. Superb fire wood .
