I like tickle and Tess but don't think I could have two dogs atm.

Spaniel comes from Espagnol meaning spanish, so something spanish could be good, like Arbol meaning tree. Lenador (pronounced Len.ya.dor) for lumberjack is a bit much to shout.

Been a springer man for 30 years so biased. Go for a dog as bitches can be....well bitches. Had some really 'hard' bitches in the past and dogs just seem more biddable to me.

My border terrier is called scrumpy. Iv had two springers and they were both called Bruce.

My first two springers were Misty (mother) and Foggy (daughter) and my last three have been Brash, wolfy and Doris.

 

We now have a Mastif called timber and a RottweilerXAlsation called Soldier.

 

Out of all the dogs brash was special, she could think for herself and knew what was happening on any particular day of the week, by that I mean she new Thursday and Saturday were for beating, she new when I walked out the back door with the whistle hanging round my neck the back would down on the Land Rover and we were off. The whistle was like having a remote control, she new each command. I doubt I will ever get another quite like her.

 

She once bought me a fish, christ knows how she caught it.
