Anyone go out feed the birds in garden

We've had feeders up since Christmas and the birds have found them, but they're not all over them at the moment.

 

Saw a lot of birds of prey yesterday though - first the heron flew over low, then there was a kestrel hovering over the garden which sat in the top of a Norway Spruce even though we were stood talking right underneath. Next the buzzard came by, trying to stoop on pigeons and finally in the afternoon I walked down the garden and a barn owl took off from the trees and flew right past me.

 

Lots of little birds too.

Yes we do just stocked up on bird food yesterday.

The kids love to see all the birds in the garden.

feed mine all year round to even have names for some, the hawks like sitting atop the 80 ft poplar, its all quiet when they are about. thrushes blackbirds and pheasants peck at the kitchen door if the foods not out for them

Got a resident robin in the woodshed, I just call him bob! He loves it when I move logs and grubs appear. Wee acer in the garden with feeder, get all the cute funny wee birds like tits, long-tails, chaffinch, even budgies!

One Estate I look after have to fill a wheelbarrow! Fat Balls, Suet Squares, Peanuts, Wild Bird food, Pheasant Mix. Very well looked after

Feed 'em in the winter Jon, got Bramblings this year, snowy atm so they need it!

We put food out through autumn and winter, and in this weather, quite a bit extra: wild bird feed, suet and fat balls - some bought abd soe home made, nuts, seed, bread and biscuit.

The garden has been awash with birds of all shapes and sizes. Love sitting there with a drink, watching the interaction between the different birds.

We feed all year round - couple of nut feeders and a fat ball one. Important to keep them topped up this time of year as the birds may have expended a lot of energy to get to the feeder.

Anyone got any pictures, interesting to see if the birds differ by location or if there is anything unusual. We currently have a family of jackdaws.
