Truck was crashed in to on Friday and he drove off! Chased the car 300m down the road then fell over! he was sliding into every curb but he got away. I then spent the rest of the day looking for the car, I new it was local and found it!! He refused to give his details but admitted it! Police are going to be knocking on his door this week and his insurance is going sky high. Hopefully teach him a lesson!

I once bought a BMW with an mot which turned out to be dodgy. I took it straight to the cop shop where I was 'detained' and interviewed for over 4 hours. I bought it at the auction and could prove it but got treated like a crim.

Never again.

Caught him! now that caught my attention, off rail a bit now but i am of to court on the 28th this month , not me in trouble with the law but some one who has over the last 10 years tried to break into my yard lots of times. He has spent much of his life inside but has only recently started doing more serious stuff like jewelry shops and the like, hes up'd his game a bit, but hopefully now going to do some time, never been to court so i am going to enjoy the day, taking me flask and sarnes so should be a good day out :thumbup: scum .

You could always sue him if the the police/insurance are no good. Balance of probabilities is all you need for a civil case, although there's no point suing someone with no money.

But as a private citizen, it's the OP's word against the other driver's. There are no witnesses that we have been told of to support either story, unless of course somebody comes forward who saw the whole thing and can verify what happened. :001_smile:

too right you are sir!! sad world we live in now days:thumbdown:

Good on you.

Had someone reverse into the side of my van the other day, while it was parked up. Thankfully he left his insurance details. His insurers (LV) were on the ball in responding, but have been useless thereafter. They haven't been able to source me a suitable replacement vehicle while mine is in the repair shop, and their offer has been £21 a day to cover mine being off the road. Where can you hire a decent car, never mind a medium sized van for that. Extracting the urine.

Do you know if the police have been round and the outcome yet. I suspect they won't tell you.

Police sent some forms today to fill in. Asking All the questions I told them at the station! They said they won't be going round there, they will "send him a letter" what good is that? Police are useless!
