Website input

good pictures are a must and clear pricing/ make the postage costs obvious as well, several sites i have been on and it takes ages to to find the cost of PnP

As Stoxs says - prices on view please; far too many retailers don't show you prices, just the pictures/descriptions.

Good luck. Without being critical I'd say that in this internet era a good website is overdue you; I hope it brings you loads of business.

1, Real pictures of the actual item show clearly in close up

2, no pop ups

3, keep it simple, just because you does not mean you should, dont let the web designer add on all the bells & whistles (they will try trust me it increases the bill)

4, dont make people register to see the prices, get postage costs ect

5, be upfront about del costs & time scales, people would rather know that it will take X days

6, do not try to reduce customers statutory rights by using company policies like some stores do

7, dont sell items you dont have instock (that realy pees lots of people off) unless you are up front & say its a special order item

8, if you have links to bigger pictures make sure they are actualy bigger,. its supprising how many are not

9, Now I know I cant spell for toffee, but make sure its spelt & gramaticaly correct

10, dont make people opt out of any mail outs, & word it clearly if they should tick or not, some are very badly worded to confuse people.

Have some drawings/pictures showing how to use the kit like in the Sherrill brochure. :001_cool:

Great idea!! Build up a library of little hints and tips, You'll sell more gear if people can see things working and then work out how to apply them at work.

Obviously this'll be aimed at those that are getting into the industry, but is there a way to embed youtube videos? I can remember seeing one for a hitchclimber that shows how to set it up for example.

Just some ideas

Honey bros site very good but dont like registering first you must loose so much business as alot of people dont like putting details up they only wanna do that once they order.

Fr make sure your pictures are up to date and exact like for like i have ordered things that are not exact makes me pissed.

The easier your site is to use the more people you will sell to remember the worlds full of idiots who couldent work an ipod.
