Cost of saws in the Uk??

i dont think there that expencive wen you off set there cost to what they earn you in there working life ,iv got an 04 ms660,still earning .most of my other saws are about 5yr old still earning 2x361 & a ms441 1,ms200t ,the newst is a ms201t ,had it about 6mth,

 

same here, i dont think there that bad really.

It's the fact they are so much cheaper in other parts of the world, not the fact of what they cost or earn in a life time! a weeks work and most saw's have earn't there money the second week your into profit however at the USA price a days work and your into profit........why is it so different here!!?? What makes the same saw so much cheaper surely if it can sell for £200 in America it can sell for that here aswell? is the wholesale price so different? The manufacturing cost is the same and delivery to sale country can't be that different? So why the massive difference?

You can't order a stihl saw online from the us though. And if the us retail price is lower than wholesale here, then no amount of bartering will work. Are the saws made in the same factory to the same standards?
