Maybe I should send a letter to the Husqvarna UK sales director and see if I get any response!?

As for the warranty at half the price I could buy two and use one for spares if I needed to, but then of all the saws I've had over the last 25years I've never needed to use the warranty on any of them!! And I've had Stihls Husky Dolmar Oleomac and Alpina's!!

I doubt you will mate, husky customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I tried to buy four new saws from yourselves and was told via the phone I'd have to collect.

If you are a pro user then jonsie will post. I got a Stihl pole saw the other week, best price around and it was at my house by 11am next day! Top service from F R Jones!!

when i got my unit turned over in october i ordered just shy of 4k of gear from jonsie, was with me in 2 days!

Seems it was maybe a slip up in communication. I wasn't asked if I was a pro user at the time I wanted to order.

£285 + the dreaded is the best price I've found however due to Husky and Stihl silly rules I'd have to spend £100 on fuel to come collect it from you!!

HI MATE £100 on fuel what have you got a tank then mate jon

I didn't think you could buy a top handled saw if you are not a pro user!!!:001_tt2:

But then that rule isn't worth the paper it's written on is it!!

My belief is you should be able to prove you are competent or booked on a training course that you would need the saw for.

If a dealer is found selling saws without checking then stihl or husky are taking a very strict view on wether to allow the dealer to carry on been a trader.

This is the same for any saw ie if you have got CS30,31 then the shop does not need to do a handover as you should already be competent and aware of fuels and safety issues.

Hope that makes sense

No not a tank! the Vw in my profile pic, it cost me £2100 with only 47000 miles only slight issue is it's a 2.5 audi 5 cylinder petrol engine!! goes like stink, pulls like a train but does like a drink!!! bit like me really!!:laugh1:

The plan was to convert it to LPG but haven't got round to it yet.....it's on the list!!
