Had our 6.5lb of Venison Hauch delivered today by a friend of the family. It wont last long once it is cooked in red wine for 5 hours on a lowish heat. Got roast pork and beef that my auntie and uncle are cooking at their place.

 

I'll do the venison part of Xmas when my parents get back from my brother's in Chesterfield. There is a nice Muntjac haunch in the freezer ready. :thumbup1:

I'm in charge of the kitchen, and we are having rib of beef, goose fat tats and snips, buttered carrots, creamed leeks and brussels with bacon. Starters will be 3 types of pate, and desert is a light lemon cheesecake.

 

Just cooked a pheasant casserole as everyone arrived today.:thumbup:
