looking for a title for doing hedglaying my late dad loved his birds in back garden and one was the hedgesparrow or dunnock. so in his memory i wrote a poem for his funeral about a hedgesparrow and named the company after him. at present very quite for laying no money around. and lay mostly south of england

Hi Hedgesparrow, welcome to an excellent site.

I'm hedgelaying too, based in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire and have been fortunate to have a fair bit of grant work (via Natural England).

The South of England style is quite popular here too, similar to our local style - Welsh Borders. The CS30/31 opens up lots more opportunities for work and insurance so is well worth having.

As regards prices, most hedgelayers in this area are charging around £10 per metre as a starting point and are all doing ok, hope this helps mate.

All the best and have a good Christmas, cheers,

JamieP
