im sorry but ive given up advising others since our firewood business supports us and four employees i keep my knowledge learnt the hard way to myself

 

my advise if you havent got free wood and it reads that you havent ... dont bother do something else

Thats alot of questions If you want £300 a month I would concentrate on getting in cheap arb arisings locally. I produce kindling so have an interest in selling you kindling but will help you with the figures. A kindlet will make 60 bags an hour with 2 people feeding it. But you will spend nearly as much time preparing your 6in blanks. So thats 30 bags an hour you will be on your own so thats down to 25 bags an hr. 10 hr day = 250 bags most people who have tried this have done 1000 bags in a week and its driven them mad. after hire costs you will probably earn £300. Find a good kindling supplier local to you buy a hundred bags and make £2 a bag for doing nothing and build up a customer base.

as hard as it sounds you really need to start off simple - axe and chainsaw and work out what is going to work for you ! its easy for any of us to tell you how we have done it BUT we are not you , start off small and work at it !! make it work for you !

After a day of humping around sodding barrow bags on and off a Landy 11-....al I would say is that you have to enjoy it......

You may make 300 in december but depending on where you are you will struggle to find enough sales the rest of the year. Look at the other recent thread on firewood sales this week. Everything done right but no customers.

Not really any helpful advice, here im just looking at doing it to earn an extra £300 a month or so, Not as a full time job

 

Don't forget to declare it, pay the correct Tax & NI as well

Most folk on here have had to graft really hard to get where they are and thats why they can afford the expensive machinery. Its hard work and for someone like yourself who obviously hasnt a clue looks to be easy money. Its beyond me why you dont do something a lot easier to get your extra money
