I agree with dean, i also didnt find his first comment critisising in a bad way, it was clear understandable point.... yeah it was not a normal way to fall the tree, the winch would have been put under tension even though that winch could handle it, i understand why it was incorect.

 

I really didnt think this disscusion would go this far,

 

its all good mate, its exactly what you said. a discussion.

meh said i would keep posting some pics and info, so heres some more, we have a lot of "vintage" equipment still in use.

 

New Leyland - by new i mean its new to us :P replacing one of our masseys to run the saw bench, its ugly, someones painted this with household out of a can piant haha, but it goes so that all we care about.

 

Old JCB - not used much anymore, shame really, tidy machine, but its nice to have when we do have some work for it.

Fantastic, would make a nice restoration project.

ha we have said that about a lot of our stuff, esspecially the WWII Vickers Vigor dozer, but we just dont have time

Have you got any old tractor loader buckets lying about or a grab it's for a ferguson815.:001_smile:

i'll have a look, doubt it though, but i know a few guys who might have, around herefordshire area btw
