Thanks for the help guys, I decided to go with a prusik and a pulley just not sure where I get some thin light accessory cord. Pretty much want the accessory cord that is in the video below.

Get the accessory cord from GOoutdoors - 2mm upwards, from about 30p per metre. Alternatively chandlery / sailing shops will have accessory cord for rigging and control lines

Picked up some accessory cord, however I picked up a prusik loop instead of an eye to eye cord, no idea how I'm going to attach my pulley for my lanyard now, as I was watching a video on using a soft lanyard with a pulley and he was using an eye to eye and putting the pulley between the two. Is it still possible to use a pulley on a soft lanyard with a loop instead of eye to eye?

There's always this way. Similar to the one with the paracord but using a spare prussik loop if you have one. Works really well with a foot ascender or foot locking.

I use a small bridge so my prussik was fairly close and a pain in the arse when using a foot ascender on long climbs. So this meant I got a better advance.

Are people still climbing on prussiks...not that im knocking it,its basic, functional and works but its hugley unergonomic and hard on the body.

Mechanical friction devices coupled with ascenders are way more efficient and will prolong your career as well as up your productivity.
