Sorry to hear and hope you get your money back.

Did you not smell a rat? So many threads on here about dodgy ebay equipment.

Never ever buy ANYTHING of value that doesn't have the option of viewing or cash on pickup. Especially with 0 feedback.

Thats awfull that mate-so sorry for the expensive loss. Under the Ebay rules I believe that if you havnt recieved your purchase with 45 days you are guaranteed a full refund. If you have missed the 45 days and paid with a credit card your bank will normally honour a full refund for 180 days..Good luck and I hope they catch the scamming bsdts..Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.

At present theres a posch cutmaster on ebay (search under firewood proccesors) they have no feedback and based in the Shetlands I smell a rat but apologise if genuine.

The last time I flew over shetland there was an almost total lack of trees. Since buying cordwood would mean shipping it out of Aberdeen I would be inclined to agree that there is a cheese chewing rodent in the woodpile

My nearest miss was after I had just failed to win the Universal crawler (an absolutly genuine item and auction)

My Yahoo email account was hacked, and I got a very very very clever professionally written contact apparently from ebay, in respect of their "second chance" scheme.

Did I still wish to honour my bid as the top bidder had pulled out.

I was suspicious and asked a very experienced ebay buyer to vet the offer.

Clive assured me it was absolutly genunine.

I asked a couple of pertinent questions and smelt a rat.

Contacted ebay.

Who were "all over" it very promptly.

The key lay in me spotting they did not wish to use paypal.

Marcus

I then bought the Fiat crawler sight unseen from an ebay contact I knew knowt about and paid by bank transfer.

Prior to delivery.

Because my gut instinct was it was genunine.

Fortunatly it was

phew.
