I'm deeply saddened that she was in this vulnerable position, only slightly older than my granddaughter it seems.

 

If the tree involved is where I worked out from Google streetview then there were signs of corineum canker but does this ever affect rooting?

Land is sodden down here in Devon. We have them coming down everywhere. At least 12 trees down last night. We also inherited a partially sawn up sycamore from further upstream which got wedged in a riverside alder coppice. Much appreciated.

 

Very sad that people are tenting under trees at the moment.

It is so sad that a life is lost in such tragic circumstances, i refrain from speculating as to why the poor woman happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time or as to why the tree failed. A young woman lost her life in tragic circumstances and that really is all there is too it .

That is sad. Must of driven past that tree hundreds of times and noticed the tents on a few occasions , only 5 mins from my house.

 

Everywhere is flooded round here at the moment , bad times.
