Yes that's it, just clip it back to the ring and off you go. I use another steel crab for that so when I set my line from the deck i just clip it over the line and choke it up. Save tying a butterfly or bowline but you do have to make sure the gates ok. If I was setting my tip for srt I would tie a butterfly and use a mallion.

What is it like used with a Swivel? Does it make much of a difference??

 

I don't have a swivel so maybe someone else can answer that. I wouldn't have thought a swivel would really be needed in srt mode though, no other line to cross!

I've had a look and seen this, it looks the same apart from the colour

I won't get any until I know it right, and then just use it for a rec climb to see what it's like. Must look a bit strange having just 6mm hitch anyway.....not much thicker than cotton ha!

 

It would be interesting to hear your findings from the other day?

 

Don't use dyneema for hitch cord mate , let alone a 6mm one . the melting point is very low.
