Hi GRAHAM running off the JCB mate my old mate had Caterpillar bulldozer ram it large must be 20tons +++ and he has 2 4ft stoke to thanks Jon

 

hi jon, ive got 3 Mitsubishi/caterpillar rams and pump off a 18ton digger they are the same rams 20ton+. i was going to upgrade the splitter but too much work. its easier to start again with heavier steel

 

the jcb rams are 3ft, more blades need more tons

been on here before but todays the first use its had in two years, the diggers not healthy

 

quite lucky today as nothing broke or jammed and two m3 split in under 5min!

 

Love your splitter and what it can do, very much not so keen on the idea of having a separate person to the loader working the levers!

There are massive risks of injury there as can be seen from the vid.

On one occasion you put your hand back in after it seems you had finished loading and at another point you had your whole arm in there.

Please don't take this as having a dig, it is serious concern for your safety! You should make it so you work the levers yourself.

I have a Hycrack which I bought to use on the MS 35 as it only has a flow and no return. It is a fantastic machine, and whilst I have nothing to compare it against, my perception is that it is quicker as you don't have to wait for the ram to return. Does anyone have experience using a flow and return with a Massey 35?

Many thanks for that. This would open up my options. I will talk to the local tractor dealer to see if they have the connections.

It's only a 3/8" port,not ideal for a pressure free return,but a 35 doesn't have a big pump.

just drill and tap the filler plug don't think all 35's have that tapping in the hyd cover

my handler has constant flow for things like feeder buckets and sweepers etc so its just a rocker switch. not shown on the pics but it has removeable legs for storage which slide in to the side horizontally to hold dumpy bags open. it can easily be used on the floor but it kills your back

 

does it run of yjr 3rd service ,or other feed
