Made me feel a bit sick first time I watched it too. I hope he recovers soon though, next time maybe a throw line and leave his spikes in the truck. If there is a next time.

Saw this on FB yesterday and thought back to how many times I've double checked my tie ins and found something wrong. Just goes to show how easy it is to make a mistake. And like someone else said yesterday; took Some balls to post the video.

Shows how easily it can be done. Double checked before unclipping my lanyard on a dirty sappy old man Pine dismantle to find the carabiner on my SJ gummed up hard and stuck open.

Have seen practices that involve chokering your mainline round the stem, might just make that rule of thumb!

why would he paint over pruning wounds but spike the tree at the same time?? I
