The 5.2 tonne Iveco is a good truck, reasonable payload on a tipper plus still got 3050kg for a trailer/chipper.

Some parts are shocking dear compared to Merc though.

We appear to be standardising on Merc chassis at work, i.e. moving away from largely Iveco.

good man u know it makse sence, did u have much trouble finding a 5.2t daily

few land on ebay quite offten - ex council 55/56 plates - around 5k - average 50/60k miles.

i did see a few 6.5t chassis cabs , thats a nice extra 1.3t with the same old chasis as the 5.2 i believe.

thats means i can build a massive chip box for plenty chip and firewood

im looking to purchase in febuary after the winter hibernation period:thumbup1:

bigger axle on the 6.5t,mines a 65c17,down rated to 6t & weighs in @ 3.5t & can tow 2,25t :001_smile:

Thats a pretty good payload for a small truck. I take it you downrated it for driver licence reasons? It should be plated to tow 3.5 tonnes.

Yes..

its was down rated by the l/a it came from as to give bigger trailer weight, road rollers etc could get a bit more by spending £4k on an alloy body ,cant cee that happening for the sakw of 2/300 kilos :laugh1:carrys shy of 2.5t with staff and kit :thumbup1:
