I can completely relate to that sentiment Difflock. Ill build a house behind these trees but now they block my view so I want them gone. What! You won't cut them down for me? Right, ill take to them myself. District wide too. We are currently worrying about the possibility of Turangi's 3500 or so trees maybe having to come down because the locals don't like cleaning the leaves up.

Utterly selfish bastard homeowners/typical Court attitude.

I get really annoyed at the vast nos of people who want a house in the Countryside.

Without too much nature.

No weeds.

No rats or vermin.

No view blocking hedges.

No overhanging trees.

No untidy long grass.

Did I mention no rats?

Or nettles (their children might get stung!)

I think the only reason they want to live near nature is to allow them to dump their garden waste over their back fence.

I went so far as to tell one complainent that the local rats probably had sounder pedigrees than most of the local residents.

I was not entirely sure they understood what I was saying .

That is a great post, largely because it is sooo true. 10/10. :thumbup1:

Excellent post. Humorous on the surface but masking a very sad and ugly truth, unfortunately.

As above, they want the rural location without the rural reality! I have also take down a few council owned trees that have died suddenly outside people's houses?

The council should re-home that stupid old git.

Put him in a tiny flat above a pub in a rough area and the view from the only two windows should be across the street to neon flashing lights!

Ok, few updates. The poisoner was found guilty at court and, as he couldn't afford to pay for diversion, has to pay $8,000 at $10 per week for the next 15 years. He's 94 now so go figure.

Also, the trees didn't recover, unfortunately so they started coming down today. Because we had to take the case to court we couldn't take the trees down ourselves so we had Treescape come in to price and deal to them. We will be helping out for a couple of them.

Ask the court to apply a holder on his property. When the house is sold you must be paid your compensation
