I've had lower back problems for a while now!! Everyone I speak to about who to go and see has a different opinion on going to see a Physio or Chiroprator!

I know I need to build my core up but I don't want to go straight into personal training and do it some damage while its this Sore!!

Any ideas guys??

How long is a while? It also depends on age, for instance someone suffering with the same symptoms could have onset arthritis. Personally I would recommend an X-ray first, make sure there there's no spinal damage, and if all clear see a private physio. I did and was sorted after approx 10 visits and £300 latter.

I've been to both and found that many of the adjustment techniques were similar.

The chiro took xrays before any treatment began - thus he had a baseline understanding of the situation.

The physio saw a broader picture and gave me exercises that involved stance and posture.

I think both were useful, and I feel there's a greater difference in a GOOD and BAD practitioner - regardless of their field of expertise.

Hope you get sorted soon.

i've been to them all in the past, physio, chiro, osteopaths. I now see a young lady who specializes in sports massage. She benefits me more than any of the others ever have.

I have to agree with Steve.

Chiropractors are hacks, well obviously not all of them but they bring to mind this Simpsons video, The Simpsons Chiropractic Episode | Facebook

Of course, I'm a little jaded after walking into a Chiropractor and not being able to walk out and also having to have over a year off tree work and constant pain ever since.

Did I mention that I'm not fond of them?
