Seem abit of a  shame to chip thoose was it oak?

Mainly Scots pine. The pile of oak was left for employees firewood.

Wouldn't it have been cheaper for them to just buy the chip in? Just curious when sat here thinking of the costs of 2 people, vermeer, truck and chipper etc. Cheers

A nice Friday chipping up some timber for the national trust. Its going on to be used on woodland paths mainly. Nice day to be doing some easy work, just a shame the forwarder guy doesn't know the difference between 12 inch and 16 inch diameter as we had to break a few down. I noticed this on your Instagram feed mate. I also took note of you distancing yourself from the tree work done there! I’m guessing it’s absolutely horrendous?!

That's what budgets are for; spending. If clients decided not to 'get rid of' their budgets nobody would be working.

I fully understand the concept of budgets

my comment was meant to be slightly tongue in cheek, I’m sure a far better value for money option would have been available rather than having two people, a skid steer and chipper onsite for a day for what is essentially 20mins work with a tractor and moderately sized heizohack
