Milling some beautiful burr cherry today.

Got some proper crazy logs lined up over the next few weeks/months. This was the least bizarre cherry and the smallest. Nearly put my back out getting it off the roof rack on my own, and it's only 2" x 2' x 7' a piece.
Very green, I felled it about 2 weeks ago.
Got a five headed union/crotch, cherry for next Friday.

Friday afternoon dead Fir on the shores of Green Lake, Whistler. Couldnt really ask for a better spot. Bit windy and breadstick like up high so moved into the next tree for the top.

Nice job, what’s the story with the rib?
Last Sunday we had a very big storm it rained all day very heavy Sunday while out doing storm work I was asked to go survey this tree for the contractor I did it for while trying to look over the fence from neighbours property I slipped and slammed my 20st directly on top of the pointy concrete post right on my ribs ! Idiot comes to mind [emoji849]

Nasty, bust ribs hurt rediculosly.
Just realised from last picture we worked together years ago at fountains on the hv ironically just after robbo broke 3 of my ribs ?
