As part of a "tidy up" of a rather large garden we were asked to remove the compost heap. Although not as big as some of the plant shown on this thread, the Skidster really came into its own. Low impact and saved back breaking shovelling.

 

It made short work of the compost and then followed us round with a builders bag to collect hedge cuttings. We also used it in the hedge cutting....... can't really show those pics though!

Spent all week on the hedge cutters this week. My back was killing me by lunchtime. Used smaller cutters after Tuesday lunch!was in agony. One large site took 2 and a bit days. Found a wasp nest by raking in it and standing on it and a few of its residents which they weren't keen on. Look down to see wasps on my arm. Lucky for only two stings from a big nest!

 

The landscaper from this site likes their bamboo. IMO not a great choice for shrub beds!

Freebie for a good mate. Pensioners day out (all of us 40+). Elm tree to rig down in a reasonably tight area with 3 fences, 3 garages a shed and a couple of shrubs. Turned out to be a cracking winter day.

It is bro and its never let me down. Had to have the head done on it a couple years ago but purchase price was $8k after pretty much full rebuild of the main bearing, clutch etc by Asplundh. still blows people away just how fast it eats branches. It's also built like a tank. Couldn't afford a bandit but needed something with some grunt that wasn't on the verge of wrecking.

You guys have it easy strimming a nice flat grass field!

 

I was on a concrete bank yesterday. I felt like a spider in the bath. No grip at all!

Had to make a floating anchor system so I could work on it.

 

 

 

 

Its a coal wharf/terminal. They unloaded 6500 tons in 10 hours. The train comes in every morning to collect a load for fiddlers ferry. 21 wagons long, each one is 75 ton empty and holds 100 ton each.
