So today I got to revisit an old friend:     My first encounter was a year ago when I damn near cut through her in a cavity in the underside of an ash branch in a nature reserve.

I wish it was Heather mate, it’s Broom, some is 6” trunks and 10’ high.

 

Mick it’s a woodland creation of mixed hardwoods and then grazed with Highland cows.  Farms lands not been used for 20 years.
