Interested as some trees that are felled, like the oak bigtreedon cut down are hollow but appear really healthy to look at. I cut a beech up last year/year before that was hollow but you could clearly see it had gone rotten but possibly from fungal issues? I’m not a pro just cut a bit of firewood and tinker with saws. Listening and learning.

Storm damaged and generally knackered Cherries removed from a row of shared gardens. The access to each tree was a labyrinth of sheds, fences and patios. The Avant was just the right size to squeeze round all the sheds etc. to collect all the wood and brash to take to the chipping area roughly 60 meters away.

A few from this weeks project, clearing out laurels and hollies as part of a regeneration project. We had an ecologist and wildlife inspector on site to help the works progress. Also as you can see had a few bits on demo. Honestly didn't think there was too much between the loaders. Multiones panels were much better with the rhino coating. Hope you enjoy. A bit of a change for us today, this is Tadcaster Bridge that has a large log jam on it, the client has spent millions on rebuilding it after it was destroyed in a flood. Nice bit of winch and diving work.IMG_2829.jpgIMG_2830.jpgIMG_1975.jpg

was this for the town council, canal and river trust or the E/A.it was on the local radio last week stated the T/C got contractors in to clear the flotsam from the arches near the bank and were complaining that they did not get the flood warning till late morning where the river peeked about 4am. the water level came up to about 2ft below the top of the arches

It was for North Yorkshire County Council bridges, not too sure about the town council getting in contractors to remove the flotsam, the middle arch span was completely blocked by a whole tree, took best part of a day to clear it.
