4*4's do not generally have handle bars, do they?

Unlessen you mean a Quad:laugh1:

And

WD 40 is actually a Water Dispersant rather than a lubricant:001_rolleyes:

Otherwise I canny argue.

Ah but wd40 has many many many uses. And yes it means quad. As it is the ultimate 4x4.

As for fixing stupid not sure I said anything about stupid but then the bloke I work with did cut half his finger off with a horizontal splitter a month ago just before we was about to go on holiday. Can't say he stupid but he can't remember how it happend either. Using it on his own by the way so could have something to do with it.

Spot on mate, we must be the same age to think like this, when i started using chainsaws as a job: no ppe what so ever not even ear muffs and i cant remember one bad accident.

Me too. The blue book was born during a recession when unemployed idiots started picking up chainsaws and having accidents. Before then we used common sense. Nowadays you need a ticket for everything, which is fine if it keeps the number of drongos using dangerous kit to a minimum.

Mate just upgraded his splitter and hates it, his old one was single handed operation, this new shinny one double handed - already planning the mod although I believe a bungy is already helping.

Man's gotta get logs to market.

generally log splitters arent dangerous if used properly. mine is horizontal, one handed or two people working together and either both of us or one can get hand/arm etc inbetween ram and knife no bother. How many injuries gained after many tons........

lots of splinters from not wearing gloves to stack the logs. none from splitter.
