I would say its ok. By asking for £200 you know if someone is a time waster within 24 hrs you can relist. I would ring him up and go and see it. Must have 2k in new rubber on it. If you ring him and you cant see it it does not excist.

I reckon it will be a sound seller, someone who couldn't be bothered with setting up the ebay account or working out how to use it, It won't work in their favor, if they had bought a few buy it nows and sold smaller value items 1st, it would've created more trust.

I'm with Steve on this one, we all had to start somwhere. And how do you know the photos are from a 2 year old listing TCD, I tried to find similar and couldn't?

[As an aside, Stratstone also had zero ebay feedback last time I checked....!]

However, if you're concerned the quickest way to catch them out is ask him to send some more photos of specific things to your mobile. If he says he can't then ask how he managed to create the listing on a mobile in the first place?

Not having but one dealing for a low value item offen e-bay, I am as suspicious as the next one.

BUt

I have to say the advert reads as being very open & honest, incl the known gearbox fault/weakness.

I would still like to kick the tyres before I bid though, or at the very least a phone call and freshspecified detailed photos as mentioned above.
